This loop trail is best ridden counter clockwise. It has two steady climbs that are a fun challenge for those with good lungs and legs. The first climb had some roots and rocks but I only had to step off the bike about 5 times. The descent along Petty Creek was very steep and rough at the top but softened to a fun and reasonably smooth roll through a thick forest along most of the creek run. The second climb is a little more mellow but has a few short steep pitches to walk. Wild and beautiful country for sure!
