Downhill Shuttle MTB Ride, Trail Building Day, and Zenas Leonard
Weather permitting, a group of MTB riders will head to the mountains this Sunday to ride some fine trails in the north central Little Belts. Meet at 4B’s Restaurant parking lot at 8 am to carpool/caravan to the mountains. Hot lunch will be served after the ride. The forecast calls for a slight chance of showers in the mountains on Sunday. Only a significant amount of rain will cancel the ride. This ride explores the results of my “trails addiction”.
An extension of the Mayhem Trail is in progress. Please help build the trail on Saturday, Nov 5th. Meet at the Lewis and Clark Overlook at 9 and 10 am and then walk/ ride to the new trail which is located here.

I’m very proud of my family. Not only my intrepid wife Kristen, who dares to explore the wilderness of Montana election politics (she’ll be the best Supreme Court Justice Montana’s ever had), but also my famous trapper/ explorer Great, great, great Uncle, Zenas Leonard. Zenas met York (Meriwether Lewis’s slave) when York was living as a chief with the Crow Indians, book excerpt here. Full Narrative Adventures of Zenas Leonard here. If you like reading historical non-fiction adventures about the old (1831-1835) west, you’ll love his story.
