HLC NF Forest Plan Revision – Release of Proposed Action

We would like to inform you that the Proposed Action (draft revised forest plan) and associated documents for the revision of the land management plan for the Helena – Lewis and Clark National Forest are now available on our website www.fs.usda.gov/goto/hlc/forestplanrevision. The comment period will initiate once the Notice of Intent is published in the Federal Register – which should be sometime during the next two weeks. Once published in the Federal Register, the comment period will last for 120 days.
A 4-7 pm Jan 31, 2017 public meeting at the Gt Falls Civic Center has been scheduled to provide:
- Updated information on the forest plan revision process
- An overview of the proposed action
- Opportunities for the public to ask questions and share information
